HISTORY
UOPROCAE was born in March 2012, bringing together five organizations of small cacao producers in the province of Esmeraldas, totaling 450 families. The five first-degree organizations that constitute UOPROCAE are spread across different regions: APROCAM (Muisne), ECOCACAO (Tonchigüe), APROCA (Atacames), APROCAR (Rioverde) and ASOPROARONES (Camarones). The fact that our farms are in this diversity of microclimates, gives our cocoa beans a diversity of unique flavor profiles. In addition, the ethnic and cultural variety of the different regions where our cacao is produced also brings added wealth.
MISSION
We produce and market the best Fine Aroma Cacao in the province of Esmeraldas, being recognized nationally and internationally for the high quality of our products that are marketed to special markets that pay good prices guaranteeing our financial sustainability.
VISION
By 2020, UOPROCAE is an inclusive organization, which has its own capital, is socially and environmentally committed, maintains a relationship with public and private entities; it is positioned as a producer and marketer of high quality Fine Aroma Cacao (in grain and processed) to national and international markets that recognize in the price the attributes of the product offered.
